Second CANDLE Persona Webinar

We invite all interested stakeholders to join our second National Cancer Data Nodes Persona Webinar, organised in collaboration with UNCAN-Connect and EU-CIP! This session is taking place on March 6th, 10:00 – 12:00 CET. In this workshop, attendees will build personas with us, mapped to the functions of the National Cancer Data Nodes and the European Health Data Space context. Personas represent user groups of a service and help make their needs more tangible, and we will apply this concept to help Member States build National Cancer Data Nodes that meet their users’ needs. This webinar is a sequel to CANDLE's first persona webinar held in November 2025.

First CANDLE NCDN Persona Workshop

On November 26th, CANDLE held its first Persona Workshop with the EU cancer stakeholder community. This session aimed to build personas mapped to the functions of the National Cancer Data Nodes and the European Health Data Space context. The workshop was attended by 62 participants, all engaged in productive conversation.  The heart of the workshop was the persona creation session. After an introduction to the persona concept, the workshop participants separated for a discussion into four breakout rooms: Research Organizations, Cancer Registry, Patients, and Research Infrastructures. In each breakout room, participants identified the goals, pain points, needs, and skills of each persona, building a comprehensive view of each persona representative.  Read more about the workshop on our website. Dutch National Cancer Data Node (NCDN-NL) Meeting The Dutch National Cancer Data Node (NCDN-NL) brought together more than 40 experts from across the oncology, data, policy, and innovation ecosystem for a full-day meeting dedicated to shaping the future of cancer data infrastructure in the Netherlands. The Dutch Node is one of the NCDNs that CANLDE helps to establish. Read More About the Event Outcomes

eCancer WG Recommendations  On Feb 10, the eCancer Working Group published its recommendations on implementing the UNCAN.eu and the ECPDC platforms. The coordination teams of UNCAN-Connect, CANDLE Project, and EU-CiP: The EU Cancer Information Portal Project, on behalf of their respective consortia, welcome the publication of the eCancer Working Group paper and its comprehensive recommendations on the core functions, future governance, and use of cancer data in Europe.
